The Mullion Group is excited to welcome Robert de Ligt to our team. Rob is recognised as an expert in land sector greenhouse gas accounting and joins the team with ten years’ experience within research and public sectors in Australia.
Rob joins us from the Australian Government where he had been an assistant Director and acting Director working on the design and set-up of the Australian Government’s $25.5 million National Environmental Science Programme. Rob’s leadership helped to successfully deliver the new programme within an ambitious timeframe.
From 2009 to 2014 Rob worked on Australia’s National Inventory where he gained a unique experience in the delivery of national inventory systems for the land sector and expertise in the integration of science-technical issues within Government policy. As a lead author on the 2013 Revised Supplementary Methods and Good Practice Guidance Arising from the Kyoto Protocol, Rob worked with a team of international technical experts to develop guidance on the treatment of natural disturbance in national greenhouse gas inventories.
Rob’s experience provides him with a strong expertise in understanding the spatio-temporal complexities of land use and land use change and the implementation or greenhouse gas accounting solutions into national inventories.
Rob has hit the ground running and we welcome him to the team on our current and future projects.
